Genuine question: Why wouldn't Asgore help sans?He has to be able to hear the battle.

As someone who hasn’t even played undertale and is planning on getting it, it is absolutely insane to me that Toby fox added the detail that sans decides walks off screen and we don’t even see him pass. A never let them see you cry moment. His question to papyrus, who is dead, is in delirium, which is meant to hit the player hard when we hear the death sound just afterwards.

A lot of people forget the point of this fight. This isn’t an attempt to actually stop you from finishing the genocide route. This fight is to make you suffer. For all the horrible things you’ve done this is where you are forced to pay for it. You made terrible decisions and the Judge isn’t going to let you get away with it.
